PEFC is a label that promotes sustainable forest management by balancing the ecological, social and economic functions of forests. PEFC certification enables forest owners (private and public) and supply chain companies in the sector to demonstrate their sustainable practices and commitment to sustainable forest management. It also enables them to meet growing buyer demand for wood products that do not contribute to deforestation.
nThe PEFC forest certification system is the most widespread in the world.
